David Brewster

I’m a writer and photographer based in Ocean Grove, on the Bellarine Peninsula outside Melbourne. I’ve been taking pictures for most of my life, since my father (also a keen photographer) gave me a Kodak Instamatic 126 format camera at an early age. 

As has been the experience of so many photographers, the advent of the digital era gave my passion for photography a new lease of life. My interests are broad, encompassing nature (especially birds), landscape, travel, street and urban photography, sport and music. In all my work, whether portraits or headshots, events, performance or art work, I am intensely interested in showing the authentic human element.
